Great mix on this ... looking forward to the Schaumburg gig and the release of 'e'. I made Julie's Broccoli/Cheddar soup yesterday with caramelized onions ... nice.
Thank You! I was literally, just hours ago, wishing that there was some high quality recording of the power trio. I get home and PRESTO! (I am now currently wishing for world peace and untold wealth and fame....I'll let you know how that goes)This is beyond what I could have hoped for. This needs to be released. I have seen other Rockpalast shows on DVD. Thanks again for posting this. Hopefully we will see the band out west again soon. You should come, your the only Slick I have not met. Maybe combine forces and do a combo power trio/book tour.Best wishes to the family BEEF
Thank you all so much...I think it's pretty incredible, too. I just want to post it on every forum board in the world but I'm afraid of that dreaded stage mother perception thing...
WOW!! That video is AWESOME! Amazing quality - I've seen so many lately that the difference between professional and audience taper really comes through. Thanks for posting this baby!
Thanks again, everyone - especially you, Scott, though I did delete the wanker's comment. I am pretty sure I know that person's identity via modern technology installed on my blog and trust me, their post was written out of bitterness and jealousy and just plain psychosis.
Sad little people running around out there, huh. Oh well. Back to the music!
Incredible, just incredible. Thanks so much! I didn't think I could be any more impatient for e and the Philly stop on the next tour, but I guess I was wrong...
This was amazing, thank's Robin. Ordered a copy of your new book from Amazon, but would like to know about the jewelry. Is it available yet and if so how to order. Loved Ade and Julie's recent post's from Nashville, cannot wait for " e " !!! Peace and love
I saw them play live in Austin, front row. Julie is just a monster bass player. What a great rhythm section they make-- there's a lot of juice in this performance!
Wow! I saw Eric and Julie in NashVegas a couple of years ago and they were great then, but by judging from this video I must say that they have increased their awesome 10 fold! Oh yeah, that Adrian dude is pretty good too!
Robin -- Brag about your kids all you want. They are fantastic! My son and I had the privilege of meeting them when the power trio was here in Seattle last year - it was one of our favorite concerts of the year. My son is an aspiring bass player now studying music in college and has played the power trio on his radio show (KSPU.org). Hopefully some day I'll get to post one of his shows and brag, too! :)

ReplyDeleteOK Anonymous, be sure to let us know the next time YOU are playing with Adrian Belew so we can offer a critique of your performance.
