Speaking of Neil Gaiman...

Good fucking lord. Can I get that tattooed on my left hand?

Ha ha - I guess this is Neil Gaiman Day on my blog because it's my second post on the subject today but cut me some slack, I've barely mentioned him for the past two weeks while my son is on tour and providing me with other entertainment.

So yeah, because I'm sitting around here bored now and I can't write because the banging/construction next door continues (though I did write for three hours outside this morning), I took one of those Quizilla things: Which Neil Gaiman book are you?

I really took my time and answered those questions completely truthful. And unbelievable, I got this answer, which is, of course, one of my all time favorite books written by any author let alone Neil Gaiman:

You are Smoke and Mirrors! You are idealistic, unpredictable, and hypnotic. People might think you're a show-off and have a need to be surprising, but really you're just talkative and get carried away with some subjects. You might easily get jealous or feel lonely if something is going wrong in your life. You probably like fantasy, fiction and things that can temporarily take you away from the world. You have a great sense of humor and are enthralling to be around.

You know what's wild? If someone were to write my bio, that's exactly what I hope they'd say about me because it's so totally true it's scaring me. Though whether I enthrall people...hahahaha, maybe I'll take a poll of my own.

So which Neil Gaiman book are you? Do you care? Well, in the event you do or are simply bored like me, here's the link to the quiz.

Hey, this may end up being a three post day. I just got some awesome photos of Eric and Project Object at their gig in Wisconsin...I'm just waiting to see if any reviews come in from last night's show or said Wisconsin show before posting them. If not, I'll definitely do it tomorrow because I know that a lot of people are going out tonight to see P/O with Denny Walley.

Later,
xo

  1. You are an American Goddess, Susan. There's no denying that.

Hmm...you are mysterious, intelligent and creative. That's 100 per cent accurate. And the rest seems pretty on the mark as well, except for the Wiccan, Pagan, or unreligious part...well, I have no idea where you stand on that and it's certainly nothing you have to share. But I must admit, you also have a sassy (ha) sense of humor and I love talking to you, so that's dead on, too.

No comment on the pic? And should I have it tattooed on the palm or top of my hand? "There are pros and cons to each", she said with an evil smirk.

(As if I'd ever get a tattoo let alone anything that involved a voluntary needle...)

  2. Yeah, I like him gray, too, but I didn't see any in his hair back in January because trust me, I stared transfixed and I had a great seat.

You're the daughter of a robot? How cool is that? Shit. And here I thought I was special because I'm the daughter of a jazz musician.

Hey, I keep forgetting to mention that I may be able to make your reading in NYC May 15 after all! I'm flying to Florida right from NYC...well, okay, Newark the next day so it would almost make sense to go to your reading and stay overnight at a hotel nearby.

  3. John Leary is in China now, too? Wow! And I've always wanted to meet Roy...and oh man, I need to order his book although it would make more sense to pick it up at the reading and have him autograph it for me.

Thanks for the offer but I'm a princess. I stay at the W when I'm in NY. What can I tell you? Agnostic or whatever the hell I am (can I say I'm spiritual, too?), I have those genetic Jewish princess genes.

  4. Oh, god, I want to chew his nose off, he's so cute.

BTW, I'm Smoke and Mirrors, too.

And you're definitely gonna be in Rochester on May 10, right? RIGHT?!

You should come to my house for drinks and pizza beforehand.

  6. Ha, I butchered that last post.

Good on the delete button, huh.

So what I basically said is that Amtrak sucks and I'm looking into flying instead. I'll research it more tomorrow. You aren't that far away - 250 miles.
