Guess what...

I've just quit my job of the past 20 odd years.

No really, I did. I've decided to take a few months off to write; go on vacation; then I will re-evaluate my life and decide my next move. I just felt it was time.

Next Friday is my last day.

I've been here since I'm 21 years old. It's going to be weird as hell. But you know what?

I'M FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Robin, that's amazing news! Congratulations. I know how much you hated that job. I'm so happy that your life is heading in all these cool new directions.

Robin, I'd really like to hear Eric and Julie play. Can you post a schedule of their upcoming performances, especially with Abel and Flamingo? I can really only go in Philadelphia.

  3. I know Flamingo has a bunch of gigs coming up in Philly in September - one at the Unitarian Church at 21st and Chestnut (yeah, a church that hosts punk bands though Flamingo isn't punk)...not even sure if it's a real church anymore, anyway. But one show you really want to see is Eric on drums at the World Cafe Live on Walnut Street on August 13 -- he's playing 2 shows with the All-Stars and it's going to be incredible. Abel is in the process of recording a CD but if they get any gigs in the meantime, I will of course post it and thanks for your interest, anonymous!
